The dilapidated barn is freezing cold, there is no more food left in the manger. The aging donkey and the steer are no longer
of any use to their equally aging master, and they are afraid of ending up at the tannerie. Desperate, they make their escape.
But where can they go? They shelter in a glacial grotto in the snowy woods, too exhausted and starving to go on. But suddenly,
they awake under a ballet of stars in a strange landscape. A nativity tale.
